When I served on City Council from 2020-2024, I listened to the community and acted in response with fellow council members, including funding our new Recreation & Aquatics Center, Sugar Pine Village and Lake Link. We greatly increased the road repair budget, adopted one of the nation’s most ambitious clean energy goals, and banned plastic water bottles. I helped launch the Multicultural Festival.
I’m running for Council again to build on these accomplishments, which also includes strong support for our hard-working police and fire departments, and city staff. I’ll represent you and our community and bring to life all the great ideas and potential that we together possess. Many heads are better than one. I agree with Abraham Lincoln that government should be of the people, by the people, for the people. I believe the role of city council is to facilitate the will of the community it serves.

We’re building a people’s platform to move South Lake Tahoe forward, together. I’m building my platform on our shared vision, which I encourage you to contribute to here. Below are some of my priorities, which I look forward to joining with yours.
LOCAL HOUSING & NEIGHBORHOODS
- Make it fast, easy, and affordable to build housing that locals can afford, like ADUs, duplexes, triplexes, and fourplexes
- Remove regulatory and financial barriers to building homes that are affordable by design (smaller with less environmental impact)
- Build on programs like Lease to Locals that incentivize second home owners to rent their homes to local workers
- Design policies that encourage visitors to stay near community centers, and that maximize housing dedicated to locals in our neighborhoods
- Reduce fees and permitting requirements for renovation and rehabilitation of existing housing
POLICE, FIRE, AND ROADS
- Potholes & Roads: Double the pothole repair budget & accelerate the road repair schedule.
- Public Safety: Strong funding for police, fire, and snow removal.
REVITALIZE TOWN CENTERS, SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES
- Support town centers and small businesses: Invest in walkable commercial centers like the Y, Bijou, Ski Run Blvd., Harrison Ave.
- Cut Red Tape: Make it fast, easy and affordable to develop where it most benefits our community.
- Implement the Midtown Area Plan: Support businesses that help meet the plan’s goals for mixed-use development, arts & music, etc.
100% CLEAN ENERGY & CLIMATE
- 100% Renewable by 2030: Lead nationally in zero-emission solutions.
- Lower Utility Bills: Establish rooftop solar & energy efficiency funds.
- Electric Transit: Electrify city fleets and Lake Link microtransit.
SUSTAINABLE TOURISM & TRANSIT
- Hwy 50 Main Street: Transform Hwy 50 into a walkable corridor.
- Cut Traffic: Expand ferries, microtransit, and walkable tourism.
- Public Beach Access: Mark high water lines to invite public shore use.
ARTS, PARKS & INCLUSION
- Live Music & Arts: Increase city funding for musicians and venues.
- Parks & Trails: Prioritize budget for bike trails and recreation.
- SLT for All: Expand Multicultural Festival and defend all residents.
